But Why?

In my view, there are few things in the world universally beloved by all. And of those things, only one of them with certainty, can bring people from all backgrounds together to one table:

FOOD.

A delicious meal is cross cultural and has no country border. It is the language of smiles, head nods, and dancing (sometimes). Where a taste is all it takes for everyone to experience a universal, unifying moment of joy.

Food has always played a significant role in our shared human history. Even the ancient societies knew, “breaking bread” together, or the act of sharing a meal, represents a personal show of love and reconciliation amongst family, friends, and enemies alike.

And while this app is a tool to help the curious traveler to satisfy cravings in a foreign land, my hope is that as we learn about and try new foods, the more we can break bread, connect w/ each other, find similarities, and settle differences amongst people, one bite at a time.
